Redcliffe Children’s Centre and Maintained Nursery School evolved from being purpose built Nursery School in the 1960’s, to an Early Years centre in 2000, to an Early Excellence Centre in 2003. It became an Early Designated Children’s Centre in September 2003. In 2011 Redcliffe Children’s Centre & Nursery School became part of the Bristol Early Years Teaching Consortium. More recently we have been awarded National Teaching School Status (2013).
The Centre is set amidst a group of high rise, social housing flats in Redcliffe, close to the centre of Bristol. We offer a range of services, and can also assist in finding suitable activities or support. The wealth of activities on offer is specifically aimed at helping families improve their long term outcomes. Restorative Parenting sessions are facilitated at the Centre, and three staff are trained Restorative Practitioners. All families are actively encouraged to participate, and we empower both parents and children to work collaboratively to reach their full potential.
